One Ok Rock (often printed in all caps) is really a Japanese power pop/alt-rock band that draws around the sound of blink-182 and Foo Fighters. The group, which derived its name in the phrase "one o'clock" (some time of the band's scheduled practice), pronounced exactly like "one ok rock" in Japanese, was established in 2005 with the high schooler Toru (guitar), who teamed with bassist Ryota, vocalist Takahiro Morita (formerly of News), and another guitarist, the San Francisco-born Alex Onizawa, who accustomed to work.
