Bon Jovi - BOUNCE SPECIAL EDITION 2002 Full Album

Bon Jovi's massive group of fans have had to attend two long years just for this, Bon Jovi's first release since 2000's Crush. Bounce shouldn't disappoint their die hard fans since the band doesn't stray definately not their trademark sound that made them famous throughout the world. They go through winning recipe; a nutritious mixture of rock anthems and sultry ballads that's likely to get the guys 'n' girls playing air guitar to each and every song.

From the opening heavy drum beat from the first song "Undivided" for the final guitar solo on the last track "Open All Night" this really is unmistakably Bon Jovi; radio-friendly hard rock. This first song is lyrically the weakest song about the album with Jovi's repeated chorus: 'one for love, one for truth...' It is quite a dark and uninspiring opening track which sets a bad tone for an album that may be influenced by the events of September 11th. Thankfully, another track and recent single, "Everyday", is more of a pop rock song which consists of unusual opening bars, slightly offbeat drumming and catchy chorus. It's set being another with their anthems, easily sitting alongside such legends as "Wanted Dead or Alive" and "Keep The Faith".

"Everyday", "Love Me Back to Life" and "Bounce" are typical upbeat, loud tracks with superb power chords, an enormous drumbeat and Jovi's unmistakable vocals that ooze good clean American fun. You won't have the ability to stop your toes tapping and also your hands playing imaginary drums.
However, the rest on the album might be more mellow and reflective as compared to their previous albums. Gone include the wild celebratory songs which can be heard on Crush and Keep the Faith as well as in their place there exists a bleaker, even sombre sound. The ballads here, "You Had Me From Hello" and "All About Lovin' You", don't quite hit the objective and are not inside the same league as classics "Always" and "Bed of Roses".

All in all of the Bounce is surely an album every Bon Jovi fan needs to have in their collection, the duvet and booklet are pretty fantastic to begin. They haven't split up any barriers here, however they have once more successfully bridged the gap between aerobics and stadium rock.
